Only 3 weeks left in the semester!

Scratch Project (Unit 3) Updates:

• 6th Graders who need extra time on their Scratch projects can have another week.
• 7th and 8th Graders should have their projects in by now.

Unit 4: Digital Tools:

• Students will be learning about file types and comparing and contrasting applications to solve various problems.
• We’ll also be organizing our Google Drives!

Unit 5: Computing Devices:

• Students will learn about the core components of a computer, installing various operating systems, and how computers are networked together.
• I will be bringing in 5 oldish pcs for us to take apart and put back together again!

Unit 6: Humans vs Computers

• Unit 6 will be extra credit.
• Students who get this far will discuss emerging technologies and the evolving relationship between human beings and computers. They will explore the impact computers have on society in the present and the future.
• Students will scavenger hunt information about these themes through the playthrough of a 2D RPG game.
